About Dr. Snyder
Dr. Garrett Snyder is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been practicing since 2011. He is fellowship trained in sports medicine and has stayed current and trained in the latest techniques for arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He also performs shoulder, anterior hip, and knee replacements. Treatment of fractures and other acute injuries has also been an integral part of his career. He sees patients of all ages, activity levels and occupations.
Dr. Garrett Snyder now offers MAKO robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement, giving patients with knee arthritis a more personalized approach to surgery. Using a CT scan to create a 3D model of your knee, MAKO helps Dr. Snyder plan your procedure around your unique anatomy before surgery even begins. During surgery, the technology helps him follow that personalized plan with added precision, which may help reduce pain and support a smoother recovery for the right patient. Whether only one part of the knee is worn out or the entire joint needs to be replaced, MAKO is designed to help Dr. Snyder tailor your care so you can get back to moving with greater confidence.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, he is very excited to be returning to his birth place to be close to family and friends. Favorite past times of his are spending time with his wife and twin boy and girl, golfing, skiing, cycling and enjoying the beautiful California outdoors.
“My goal is to use my education, training, and experience to help patients restore their previous and desired level of activity. Although I thoroughly enjoy performing surgery, it is not always necessary, and I will always recommend the treatment that I think is best for the individual. I am invested in my patients’ outcomes, and use every tool at my disposal to help ensure the success of their treatment.”
