About Dr. Mintalucci

Dominic J. Mintalucci, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with additional subspecialty training in Microsurgical, Hand and Upper Extremity surgery. He has also been trained in the most advanced surgeries including Tenex plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon, patellar tendon and elbow surgeries and he now offers patients Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for quicker healing and pain relief.

About Dr. Mazur

Dr. Kai-Uwe Mazur is board certified and fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgery. He specializes in the latest techniques in hand and upper-extremity joint arthroplasty and replacement, advanced arthroscopic reconstruction, ligament reconstruction of the upper extremity, tendon repair, vascularized bone grafting, peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgery.

Dr. Mazur also provides leading-edge treatment for cumulative trauma disorders and performs minimally invasive surgeries for carpal tunnel syndrome and other overuse disorders. He is also now offering Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections to promote quicker healing and less pain.

About Dr. Schakel

Dr. Schakel is the director of the Foot & Ankle Program at SRO and as such he specializes in treating problems of the foot and ankle, including reconstructive, traumatic, sports-related and congenital problems and is the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake and Humboldt counties.

About Dr. Athanassious

Dr. Christian Athanassious is a board-certified spine surgeon with fellowship training in spine surgery from Stanford University and is the Medical Director of The Total Spine Health Program at SRO. An advocate of the whole-body medical approach to treating patients, Dr. Athanassious also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Davis.

About Dr. Ehmer

Dr. Nathan Ehmer is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic trauma, complex fracture care, pelvic & acetabular reconstruction and total joint replacement. He has specialized training in anterior hip replacement as well as Mako Robotic assisted and patient specific hip and knee replacement surgery.

About Dr. Bennett

Dr. Bennett has been one of the major participants in Sonoma County’s regional trauma system and is part of the Orthopaedic Trauma Team at SRO. Dr. Bennett regularly manages complex musculoskeletal injuries including pelvic and hip socket fractures and complex multiple fractures of the upper and lower extremities. In addition to treating fractures and other emergency problems.

About Dr. Stein

Dr. Gary Stein specializes in orthopaedic surgery, adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and back care. Dr. Stein has pioneered techniques in hip and knee replacement surgery and has been performing (MIS) minimally invasive hip replacement surgical techniques since 2001. Dr. Stein is co-director of The Sports Medicine Center at SRO and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has undergone recertification as well.
