About Dr. Nentwig
Dr. Michelle Nentwig is the newest addition to the medical staff at Santa Rosa Orthopaedics, having arrived in August, 2022 after completing her orthopedic trauma fellowship training at Pennsylvania State University’s Hershey Medical Center.
After graduating summa cum laude from Wichita State University for her bachelor’s degree, Dr. Nentwig entered the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she obtained both her M.D. degree and her five-year residency training in orthopedic surgery. Her fellowship year in orthopedic trauma surgery followed.
Dr. Nentwig has presented research papers at multiple professional conferences and annual meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Her work has also been published in clinical journals such as the Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma and the Kansas Journal of Medicine. Her interest in movement and healthy function also includes an earlier, decade-long experience as a yoga teacher and personal trainer.
In her spare time, Dr. Nentwig pursues sporting interests in golf, mountain biking, and skiing, along with the travel that often accompanies those activities.
